Sonny is the President & CEO of the Canada Korea Business Council. Sonny Cho has extensive experience in a wide variety of businesses: technology, agri-food-tech, telecom, healthcare, e-commerce, business service, real estate, hospitality, retail and education. Sonny is a seasoned advisor in new ventures, business acquisitions & dispositions, capital sourcing, deal origination, investment analysis and international business development.
Sonny is also a Senior Fellow at Global Public Affairs (www.globalpublicaffairs.ca), a national government relations and strategic communications firm in Canada, and a CEO of Sonny Cho International (www.sonnycho.com)
His prior experience includes management and financial roles at Avantis Inc., Morguard Investments, Ivanhoe-Cambridge and Davnet Telecom. Sonny served on several volunteer organizations including the Board of the Ontario Place Corporation, Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation, Korean Canadian Cultural Association, Korean Toronto Credit Union and Korean Canadian Symphony Orchestra.
Sonny is a business graduate of University of Toronto.
